💙 General
Q: What is a Coverage Clarity Call?
A free, no-pressure conversation where we review your coverage options, answer your questions, and help you feel confident about your next step. It usually takes 15–20 minutes.
Q: Do you charge a fee for your services?
Never. My services are completely free to you. If you choose to enroll, I’m compensated by the insurance carrier — never by my clients.
Q: Are you licensed in my state?
I’m licensed in 46 states and expanding.
Currently serving:
AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY.
Q: Are you affiliated with the government or Medicare?
No. Covered by Candace is privately operated and not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. Government, CMS, or any state marketplace.
Q: How will you contact me after I request information?
I personally follow up by your preferred method — phone, text, or email — to confirm your appointment. You’ll never receive spam or pressure calls.
Q: What does it mean that you’re an independent agent?
Being independent means I don’t work for just one insurance company.
I partner with multiple national and regional carriers so I can help you compare your options and choose the coverage that best fits your needs, your budget, and your peace of mind.
My goal is simple: clear, unbiased guidance — no pressure, just education.
Q: Which insurance carriers do you work with?
I’m appointed with several well-known, trusted insurance carriers that offer Medicare, Marketplace, Life, and Supplemental plans across the U.S.
Because I represent multiple companies, I can show you side-by-side comparisons and help you understand how each plan works.
(Note: Carrier participation varies by state and county. Plan availability and benefits may change annually.)
Q: Are your services free?
Yes! There’s no cost to meet with me.
As a licensed agent, I’m compensated by the insurance carriers — not by you — so you get expert guidance without extra fees or hidden charges.
Q: What do I need for my appointment?
Depending on your coverage type, please have these ready:
-
Your Medicare card (if applicable)
-
A list of your doctors and medications
-
Your household income (for ACA or Marketplace plans)
-
Any questions or pain points you’ve had with your current plan
We’ll walk through everything step-by-step — no rush, no jargon, no confusion.
🌿 Medicare
Q: What’s the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?
Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare and often includes extras like dental, vision, and prescriptions.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works with Original Medicare to cover deductibles and co-insurance. The right choice depends on your budget and lifestyle.
Q: When can I change my plan?
The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 – December 7. You can also change during special enrollment periods for qualifying life events.
Q: Will my doctors still be covered if I switch plans?
That depends on the carrier and network. During our call, I’ll verify your preferred doctors and prescriptions to be sure everything lines up.
💛 ACA Marketplace (Affordable Care Act)
Q: Who qualifies for ACA coverage?
Almost anyone who doesn’t have employer or Medicare coverage. Many families qualify for subsidies that lower premiums — sometimes to $0/month.
Q: When can I enroll?
Open Enrollment is Nov 1 – Jan 15, or you can qualify mid-year if you lose coverage, move, get married, or have a baby.
Q: Can you help me apply for ACA coverage?
Yes! I’ll guide you step-by-step through the Marketplace or private exchange and ensure you choose the best plan for your household.
🕊️ Life & Final Expense
Q: Why do I need life insurance if I’m not married or have grown children?
Life insurance isn’t just about dependents — it’s about leaving peace, not pressure. It can cover final expenses, debts, or charitable gifts.
Q: Do I need a medical exam?
Many plans are simplified issue — no exam, just health questions.
🌸 Accident & Critical Illness
Q: What does Accident or Critical Illness insurance do?
It pays cash directly to you if you experience a covered accident or serious diagnosis. You can use the money for bills, travel, or recovery time.
✈️ Travel Insurance
Q: Is travel insurance only for international trips?
No! Domestic trips and mission travel can also be protected — covering cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, and lost luggage.
🤝 Group Health
Q: Can small businesses really afford group coverage?
Yes — often with new tax credits or level-funded options. I can design a plan that fits your team’s size and budget.
⚖️ Faith + Stewardship
Q: Will you pray with clients if they ask?
Absolutely — only if requested. My goal is to serve every client with respect, compassion, and faith-based integrity, regardless of beliefs.
Q: What makes your approach different?
Education first, faith always, pressure never. I want you to feel peace when you hang up — not confusion.
